- Applicant presents application for Search
- Applicant pays a fee of GH 5 cedi
- Search is conducted
- Time Frame: Half a day
- Applicants are to note that searches will be conducted on all applications presented.
- All registrations are subject to annual renewals.

- Information is retrieved from the Dept. data software and compiled.
- A fee is payable to the in-house bank if for businesses purposes.
- Data collected by University Students and Research Institution do not attract any fee.

- The first point of call for clients is the front office.
- A helps desk has been created to assist people on the type of business they intend to register.
- The unit has designed cages with the various activities carried out by the Dept.
- Clients are requested to write, phone or contact personally.

Procedures:
- Supply name of the company whose assets would be charged
- Provide date of creation of the charge
- Nature of the charge
- Provide amount secured by the charge or maximum sum deemed to be secured thereby.
- Provide short particulars of the property charged
- Provide information on the Grantor of the Charge, in addition to the names, addresses and the description of persons entitled to the charge.
- Incase of a floating charge, provide the nature of any restriction on the power of the firm to grant further charges ranking in priority or pari passu with the charge created.
- File charge document creating the charge on the assets of the company
- File charge within 28 days after its creation
- Seek leave to file charge out of time from the High Court
- Form number 9 filed in duplicate together with the stamped Agreement spelling out terms of the charge
- Pay requisite fees for filling of the charge
- Print Lien Certificates
